Ohhhhh boys will be....boys

I feel the need to share this with everyone, since it made me giggle a bit {after the fact, of course}.

This is my five-year-old son, Fox. This picture was taken this morning before we left for school. He's wearing his standard school uniform {Khakis with a navy button-down shirt}. If you notice, there are a few....Accessories {?} he chose to add as well {scarf + red socks}.

I tried to explain to him you can't wear a scarf in 72 degree weather OR red socks with his school uniform. A knock-down-drag-out ensued, until we decided to agree to disagree. At least I tried, right?

Despite his fashion choices, that I may not necessarily agree with, I am so thankful and blessed to have him {and his stubborn & creative spirit}.

Hope this brought a smile to all you fashionistas out there!
XOXO

STEPH

IT'S OFFICIALLY DEER HUNTING SEASON >>EEEKKKKK!!!

It is one of my favorite times of year; Deer Hunting Season. Not only does it bring back memories of growing up in South Alabama, surrounded by the hunting culture, but it also is one of the most beautiful times of year in the South.

The trees shed their green leaves in exchange for radiant orange and red ones. The air has a crispness to it that warms and chills my body all at once. The south Alabama weather and nature are astonishingly beautiful, however, that beauty doesn't compare to the gorgeous smile of my little boy, Fox, during this time. His joyous giggles and excitement are enough to make my heart burst with love. I cannot begin to explain to you how much he loves hunting and being in the great outdoors. He is truly wild at heart.

Fox last year in Alabama.

Last month I took him to Big Horn, a hunting ranch in Texas. He had such a great time meeting all sorts of exotic animals and hunting deer. While I was there I realized there were a few items I wish I had. Breath mints, for instance, and bug spray, and hand warmers, and ... well you get my point.
Then it hit me. Deer Season Survival Kit. That was exactly what I needed.

Complete with an array of items you are sure to need in your time in the wilderness.

"Love Me Like You Love Deer Season" Judy Koozie
Hot Hands {for those freeeeezing early morning trips}
Mouth Wash + mini dissposable toothbrush {in case you need to freshen up a bit}
Mini Flash Light
Bug Repelent
Ear plugs
Band-Aids

Deer Season Survival Kit; available at Deja Vu Stores.
The Deer Season Survival kits are available at Deja Vu stores. If you'd like to order online please follow the link below

Even my employees know my admiration for Deer Hunting--i suppose it is hard to hide.

Season of Events Showcase with Time Inc. & Visit South Walton

Last night Christy and I were blessed with the opportunity to attend the Season of Events Showcase featuring our beautiful home, South Walton County, hosted by Time Inc. {Southern Living Magazine & Coastal Living Magazine}!

Our CEO & my childhood friend, Christy & I.
For those of you who are not familiar with the Emerald Coast of Florida it is home to some of the most B E A U T I F U L beaches in the world! Sugar-white sand, crystal aquamarine waters and the infamous Florida sunshine makes our work days & weekends that much sweeter!

It constantly blows my mind how talented my SoWal neighbors are! Unique artists, creative geniuses, knowledgable business owners, amazing chefs, talented musicians..i could go on for days about how gifted my community is & how blessed I am to know them!

The event was showcasing all of the unique and talented business owners of South Walton including Chef Jim Shirley of Great Southern Cafe {Seaside, FL}, wine tasting from Wine World {Watercolor, FL}, live music from The Shadowboxers, artist of 30A Songwriter Festival, and fashion shows by Mia Moda & Judith March!

We had such a B L A S T debuting a sample of the Judith March spring 2014 collection. We showed about 12 looks and were so excited with everyones response to the collection! {I can't wait to show you all the final collection--Soon, I promise}

I can't express how ecstatic I am for the future plans of Southern Fashion House {Deja Vu & Judith March}! If you only knew what kinds of things were in the works.... EEEEKKKK!

A huge thanks to Time Inc. & Visit South Walton for letting us be a part of this awesome night!
Much Love
XOXO,

My Newest Obsession: POPPY PEDALS

There is nothing I love more than beautifully hand written script. In fact, that is why some of our #JudyTanks and #JudyTees have hand-written graphics on them {My favorite is the Waylon Willie Merle Hank Tank--as seen in my last blog post}. The B E S T part about them is, they are designed by one of my dearest friends and sorority sister, Courtnie Johnson.

Courtnie is also responsible for creating the Deja Vu logo {of which I am still in love with}. She also used her incredible skills to spruce up the entire Deja Vu website {pictured below}. She is a wife, mother of three, and one of the most talented people I know {I really don't know how she does it all}.

Deja Vu's homepage designed and created by Courtnie Johnson.

Below is a blog post Courtnie wrote about when she updated the Deja Vu website {I'm obsessed with how it turned out; loved it then and love it now.} While you're there, check out her AMAZING custom work and her Etsy shop!

I H I G H L Y recommend her for any of your invitation-graphic-design-logo-making-handwritten-script needs {because who doesn't have those needs every once in a while}.

Below are a few other pics of her A M A Z I N G work! Take a look, and jot down her contact info....along with her title...Courtnie--the best and most creative gal around--Johnson ;)

Labor-Day-Weekend P A L O O Z A

As much as I love Summer, I was so excited for Labor Day weekend! Christopher and I were able to attend the Braves vs. Marlin's baseball game AND the Bama vs. Virginia Tech game!

The Braves beat the Marlin's 2-1! Go Braves!

In anticipation for the sports-filled weekend it was only natural that I be inspired to wear my "Hank, Chipper, Bobby" shirt. It is inspiration for some of the newest Judy tanks and tees this Game Day Season for Judith March! Here is one of my favorite #JudyTees we have ever done! Waylon, Willie, Merle, Hank , some of country music's greatest game changers

It was my first t-shirt idea and I'm so happy with how it turned out! It also ended up being one of our top sellers from Fall markets!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend celebrating with your loved ones! With that I'll leave you with a few more pictures from the marvelous weekend with Christopher!

Much love,

Roll Tide, Ya'll!

I am so excited to announce the big plans we have in the works. As most of you know I have been blessed with the opportunity to own two successful businesses; the retail store Deja Vu and wholesale clothing line Judith March. I have had tremendous help and support from my family and co-workers; I truly wouldn't be where I am today without them! I am humbled each day in knowing how much God has truly blessed me and my businesses.

Since 2012 I have wanted to brand both Deja Vu & Judith March, as sister companies, since they intermingle so much. With the help of my wonderful mentors, employees and business partners we have decided to start up a new company, a parent company of sorts; Southern Fashion House.

Nothing will change with Deja Vu & Judith March; they will both remain the same businesses. With the formation of A Southern Fashion House we will be able to grow both brands more precisely and efficiently.

Keep an eye out for an expansion of products, new and exciting endeavors from Southern Fashion House and a handful of local and national events we will be apart of this year!

I'm so excited and I hope you are too! Thanks again to our customers, fans, friends, families
and employees who made this company possible!

Thank you Thank you Thank you
Much love,
P.S---Below is the press release introducing Southern Fashion House, if anyone is interested in learning more about it! We'd love to hear your feed back!

My Baby's Growing Up...

It seems like just yesterday that I was brining my son Fox home from the hospital, and this week he is [officially] a first grader!

He is definitely going to miss Summer, but I think he was excited to get back to his friends and school routine. I know his teachers are going to love hearing about all of the outdoor adventures he had this summer...and his growing obsession with anything outdoors, [hunting, fishing, catching lizards..you name it]. Here are a few of my favorite school pics from the past to the present...

Fox, two short years ago...he's growing up so fast!

Fox looked so hansom for his first day of first grade!

We clearly had separation anxiety from each other.... <3

Hope your little ones had a great first day of school!! And even the not-so-little-ones ;)
BEST WISHES FOR FALL,

Pickin' : America's Favorite Past Time & My New OBSESSION!

Everyone knows the saying..
"One man's junk is another mans treasure..."
Well...this is the theme to my new hobby. Pickin'.

Growing up in South Alabama, where old, run-down barns are a dime a dozen, I've been raised to remember and appreciate generations before mine and where I've come from. I am obsessed with antiques and the idea of reusing them for a creative purpose; especially if they are broken. (For recycling purposes really).

This is only 1/4 of the stuff I got after a day of searching high and low for the greatest pieces.

Below are some of my favorite pieces:
Take a look and remember, treasure is all around you, you just have to be looking for it!

This is a display we made for the Faire Hope Deja Vu.

This is an old telephone box I found while antiquing.

This is a display we made for the Fairehope Deja Vu and Atlanta Apparel Market to merchandise #JudyTanks

Be Creative
Love you all, friends,
